Accessib.li is the blog of Alison Walden, focusing on the institutionalization of accessibility compliance for an inclusive web.
Alison Walden is a technologist, scientist, and mother of two. A Director of Experience Technology at SapientRazorfish, she partners with clients and creative teams to create experiences comprising both design excellence and technical longevity.
She has devoted much of her career to introducing her clients and workplaces to new ideas and methods of applying inclusive design principles to digital experiences to make them accessible to people with disabilities. Working across domains in the fields of experience design, visual design, copy writing, and technology, Alison has trained and mentored teams across North America, Europe, and Asia in accessible design best practices. She celebrates each small victory as individual awareness and empathy converge with the development of new laws to create a digital landscape focusing on access to content for all, allowing people with disabilities to participate equally on the web.
She speaks regularly about leadership, diversity, and creating accessible experiences.
